Device Not Polling¶
Device configured but not reading data.
Checklist¶
1. Device Enabled¶
- Device Enabled switch is ON
- Edge node is enabled
- At least one tag group enabled
- Tags are enabled
2. Connection Status¶
- Device shows "Connected" status
- Test with Poll Once button
- Check connection statistics
3. Tag Configuration¶
- Tags assigned to a tag group
- Tag group has poll rate > 0
- Tag addresses are valid
- No configuration errors
4. MQTT Publishing¶
- MQTT broker connected
- Check MQTT statistics
- Verify Sparkplug group configured
- Edge node has broker assigned
Common Issues¶
Device Enabled But Not Connecting¶
Check: - Network connectivity to device - Correct IP address and port - Correct slave ID - Firewall rules
Tags Not Publishing¶
Check: - Tags assigned to enabled group - Group has valid poll rate - MQTT broker connected - No errors in logs
Some Tags Poll, Others Don't¶
Check: - All tags in same group - Tag addresses valid - No address overlaps - Register types correct
